This End-User License Agreement ("License") governs your use of any CasedCalc calculator you install or access ("Software"). It supplements our Terms of Service. As no calculators are available for purchase yet, treat this as a draft of the license that will apply once they launch.
1. Grant of License
Once a calculator is licensed to you (for example, through a purchase), we intend to grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use that calculator on devices you own or control, for your own engineering work or your employer's business purposes. 2. Permitted Use
- Install the Software on the number of devices specified at the time of purchase
- Use calculation outputs in your own engineering work and internal reports
- Receive updates we make available for the version of the Software you've licensed
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the Software to third parties
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except where law expressly permits it
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, branding, or attribution within the Software
- Use the Software to build a competing product
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. CasedCalc retains all right, title, and interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights. This License gives you no ownership interest in the Software itself.
5. Updates
We may release updates to improve, secure, or extend the Software. Depending on the plan you're on, some updates may be included and others offered as a separate purchase. [Placeholder — finalize update policy, e.g. "free updates for 12 months," before launch.]
6. Termination
This License remains in effect until terminated. We may terminate it if you breach these terms; you may stop using the Software and uninstall it at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SEE THE ENGINEERING USE DISCLAIMER IN OUR TERMS OF SERVICE — CALCULATION RESULTS MUST BE INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIED BEFORE BEING RELIED UPON FOR ENGINEERING DECISIONS.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from this License is limited as described in our Terms of Service.
