Pipe Tally Calculator
Pipe Tally Calculator turns the daily rig-floor habit of tallying pipe into a live tool: enter each joint's own measured length as it's run and watch the running total update instantly, alongside the average joint length as a quick sanity check. Add a starting offset to continue a prior day's tally or account for a reference-elevation offset. Run it in reverse to solve for space-out — the exact pup-joint length needed to land equipment at a precise target depth, checked against standard stocked pup joint lengths.
How It Works
Running total = starting offset + sum of joint lengths. Average joint length = running total ÷ joint count. Space-out gap = target depth − running total.

When You'd Use It
While running casing, tubing, or drill pipe, a crew tallies each joint's own length as it goes into the hole — this calculator keeps the running total live so depth is never a mental-math lag behind the rig floor, and flags the pup joint needed to land a packer, nipple, or hanger exactly on target.
